Day 3: Morning Magic – Starting Your Day the Witchy Way
By Salem Devina January 02, 2025 2025, Blogging ChallengeGood morning, magical beings! 🌞✨ How’s the energy today? Did you wake up ready to tackle the world, or is your bed still whispering sweet nothings? Either way, you’re here, and that’s already a win in my book.
Today, we’re talking about morning magic. The way you start your day can set the tone for everything that follows. So why not infuse a little witchy goodness into your morning routine? Don’t worry—this isn’t about waking up at sunrise to meditate for an hour (unless you’re into that). It’s about weaving small, intentional practices into your morning to make it feel more magical.
Step 1: Wake Up Your Energy
First things first: let’s wake up—not just physically but energetically.
Here’s a quick ritual you can try while still in bed (yes, it’s that easy):
- Close your eyes and take a deep breath.
- Visualize a golden light at the crown of your head.
- Imagine this light slowly flowing down through your body, waking up every part of you.
- When it reaches your toes, take another deep breath and say (out loud or in your head), “I welcome the magic of this day.”
Interactive idea: What’s your go-to way to wake up your energy? A stretch? A cup of tea? Share your morning must-have!
Step 2: Brew Some Magic
If you’re like me, mornings don’t officially start until there’s a steaming mug of something in your hands. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate—it doesn’t matter. The important thing is to make it magical.
Try this simple drink blessing:
- Hold your mug and take a moment to feel its warmth.
- Say: “May this drink nourish my body, inspire my mind, and awaken my spirit.”
- Stir clockwise to invite positive energy into your day.
Interactive idea: What’s your drink of choice in the morning? Let’s swap recipes! I’m currently obsessed with chai tea lattes sprinkled with cinnamon (because cinnamon = abundance).
Step 3: Create a Morning Altar
If you’ve got a little extra time, set up a tiny morning altar. This can be as simple as a candle, a crystal, and something seasonal like a pinecone or dried flowers. Use it as a space to focus your intentions for the day.
Quick altar ritual:
- Light a candle and take a moment to think about your day ahead.
- Place your hands over your heart and say: “I align with the energy of [insert your intention].”
- Blow out the candle, sending your intention out into the universe.
Interactive idea: What’s on your altar today? If you don’t have one yet, what would you put on it?
Step 4: Pull a Card for the Day
If you have a tarot or oracle deck, pulling a card in the morning can be a great way to set your focus. Ask something like, “What energy should I embody today?” or “What guidance do I need?”
Don’t have a deck? No problem! Grab a book and open it to a random page. Whatever word or phrase catches your eye can serve as your daily guidance.
Interactive idea: If you pull a card or find a guiding word, let us know in the comments! I pulled The Magician today, which feels like a big “you’ve got this” energy.
Step 5: Gratitude Moment
Before you dive into the day, take 30 seconds (yes, that’s all) to think of one thing you’re grateful for. It could be as simple as “the sun is shining” or “I didn’t hit snooze for the 7th time.” Gratitude is like a magical booster for your mood.
Interactive idea: What’s one thing you’re grateful for this morning? For me, it’s my favorite mug that somehow makes coffee taste better.
Wrap-Up
And there you have it—a morning routine that’s quick, easy, and full of witchy vibes. Remember, magic doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s about finding those little moments of connection and intention in your day.
So, how are you starting your morning magic today? Let’s chat about it! Drop your thoughts in the comments (or your journal), and I’ll see you tomorrow for more January witchy goodness.
Blessed be, and have a magical day! 🌒🌕🌘

I love this! I have a morning practice of pulling an Oracle card but since I mentioned that in the comment I left the other day, I won't go into today's card. I appreciate you sharing ways to make our mornings magical, I'll be starting tomorrow with the golden light visualization and will go to bed tonight with gratitude in my heart. Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all such helpful ideas - morning routines make such a difference! I'm glad to learn cinnamon is abundance! I put it directly into my coffee grounds every morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat great routines that even sound like fun to get the day going. As from my favorite morning drink, I too love chai latte tea in fact I just had a cup tonight since it's so cold outside! I start by adding milk and a splash of heavy whipping cream and whisk that together. Heat the mixture and add some cinnamon syrup (sometimes I add raspberry syrup) and then chai concentrate. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with more cinnamon. Can you tell I love cinnamon? Another tip, at times I add a spoon of confectioner sugar and when you whisk that with the milk it becomes frothy and such a great way to start my day.... or end it too!
