Yes, it still matters and should be the basis for all intent. My Grandma swore on do no harm unless you were backed into a corner and had utilized every other option. As the saying goes: we never know what someone else is going through or has been through. Sure...maybe they shouldn't behave or react as they do - but who are we to judge anyone's way of dealing (so long as they do no harm)?
